This sensory and immersive experience will transport you to the heart of Caribbean culture. Here you’ll enjoy the rich, warm flavors of the rum and the savory, crispy goodness of the fritter which together will create a day of delectable harmony.
You’ll start the day by heading to the prestigious Rhum Clément, nestled in the heart of sugar cane plantations. Habitation Clément offers a unique opportunity to discover the techniques and manufacturing process of its beloved rum. A natural product derived from the direct distillation of sugar cane juice, rum has been prepared on the estate since 1917.
The Habitation Clément tour is a complete immersion into a family devoted to rum. You are invited to taste the rum and decide for yourself how it stacks up.
Next you’ll visit Prisca Restaurant, where you’ll learn all about life in Martinique – including the art of making traditional fritters using fresh seasonal produce. Tasting various French West Indian aperitifs makes the fritter-making process much easier, and the final product is delicious.
Please note: Minimum age is 12 years. The route is winding. Guests who are prone to motion sickness should consider this before booking and/or take appropriate medication. Terrain includes paved areas with several steps at the distillery.
