Seabourn Conversations, Featured Speaker
Captain Thomas G. Anderson is a retired Navy physician. He spent his childhood in a coastal city where he became fascinated with the maritime world at an early age. That fascination became a lifelong profession, and he has now lived and worked on, around, over, and under the sea for over 70 years. That proximity to the sea gave him the opportunity to closely observe and study unique aspects of the maritime world, especially the contributions the oceans and seas have made to the origin and evolution of our modern civilization.
His current interests include maritime geopolitics, contemporary maritime affairs and the future of the international maritime community.
Tom has compiled a series of more than 80 original stories from the maritime world. Each presentation offers a unique perspective of the maritime world and its importance in the history of our civilization. These stories and their accompanying conversations have proven to be enormously popular with cruise ship audiences.
