Day 1
As you step off the ship, your journey continues with a warm greeting from your tour guide at the quayside. Together, you’ll set off towards your Stellenbosch accommodation.

En route, indulge in a wine tasting session at a local estate, where the essence of the region’s terroir is captured in every sip.

A brief drive from the town center, Lanzerac awaits to envelop you in its serene embrace. Here, the grandeur of the past meets modern comfort in our individually designed rooms and suites, all set against the tranquil Jonkershoek Valley.

The estate itself is a masterpiece, featuring a stately Manor House, immaculate gardens, and verdant vineyards, all backed by the dramatic mountain scenery. Designed for relaxation and romance, our guest areas boast original art and antiques, offering a variety of spaces to match your mood—from the regal Governor’s Hall to our convivial restaurants and bars.

Upon hotel check-in, the day is yours to enjoy at leisure. Whether you choose to dine in our Manor Kitchen or Taphuis, or explore further afield, the choice is yours. Lunch and dinner are independent, allowing you to discover the culinary delights at your own pace.

Day 2
Awaken to breakfast at your hotel, followed by an exclusive cellar tour. Immerse yourself in the heritage of Lanzerac as you sample five of our celebrated Estate wines in a Jonkershoek tasting.

As the cradle of the world’s first bottled Pinotage, Lanzerac prides itself on a lineage of award-winning wines. Our dedication to quality ensures that each glass poured is a reflection of our esteemed reputation.

Festive Midday Feast: Be treated to Lunch at Lanzerac, where a grand spread awaits to tantalize your taste buds.

The remainder of your day is a canvas of leisure. Revel in the serenity of our Spa facilities, or bask in the sun by the pool, surrounded by the valley’s splendor.

For those with a thirst for adventure, we offer the option to arrange a private vehicle and guide to discover the winelands at your own pace.

As night falls, dine at your discretion. Lanzerac’s Manor Kitchen and Taphuis boast a gourmet pub-style menu that promises a delightful culinary journey. We recommend making reservations upon your arrival at the hotel.

Day 3
After breakfast at Lanzerac, set off from your hotel to explore the charming region of Franschhoek, with a scenic drive through Paarl.

Pause at a renowned wine farm in Paarl to savor a selection of fine wines. Let the flavors of the region dance on your palate as you immerse yourself in the art of winemaking.

Next, meander through the historic town of Babylonstoren, one of the oldest Cape Dutch farms. Its enchanting fruit, herb, and vegetable gardens invite you for a leisurely stroll. Don’t miss the chance to pick up local treats from the farm stall.

A short drive brings you to Boschendal Wine Estate. Here, a picturesque picnic lunch paired with estate wines offers a feast for the senses amidst the vineyards.

Continue to the quaint town of Franschhoek, a jewel among South Africa’s oldest settlements. Enjoy some free time to wander and discover its unique allure.

Travel along the Helshoogte road to Stellenbosch, affectionately known as the “Town of Oaks.” Founded in 1679, this historic university town is adorned with Cape Dutch architecture and streets so picturesque they’re deemed national monuments.

After a brief orientation of Stellenbosch, return to the comfort of Lanzerac Hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax as you wish. For dinner, consider the Manor Kitchen or Taphuis at Lanzerac, offering a gourmet pub-style menu. We suggest making reservations upon your hotel check-in.

Day 4
After enjoying a final breakfast at your hotel and completing the check-out process, you’ll be comfortably transported to the airport in alignment with your scheduled flight. For those with later departures, the hotel offers convenient luggage storage services. The official check-out time is at 11:00 PM. Should your flight be scheduled after this time and you wish to retain your room until departure, we suggest booking an additional night for uninterrupted access and relaxation.

Important Notes

A minimum # of guests may be required for a tour to operate. Hotels and tour itineraries are subject to change. Intra-tour air carriers are subject to change.

Passport information is required for tours with intra-tour flights. Guests who do not provide this information 70 days prior to the start of the tour will not be allowed to participate in the tour.

Visas: Please check prior to arrival if a visa is needed. Holland America does not obtain visas for guests. Visas are the responsibility of the guests and guests need to obtain their own visas.

Guests are encouraged to pre-register via our website www.seabourn.com by choosing the "My Booking" heading and selecting "Online Guest Registration" to log in and enter their passport and flight information.

Official check-out time is 11:00pm. Late check-out is not included. If you have a late flight, you may ask the hotel to check your bags while you explore the city on your own before its time to proceed to the airport for your flight.
