Enjoy a hike up to the charming Hvanneyrarskál valley where you will come across wonderful views into town and across the fjord. The guide will discuss the history of the town, interesting flora and fauna, the purpose of the snjóflóðagarður and other interesting subjects. The guide will meet the group at the harbor and return the group to the harbor.
Please note:
Wherever Included Experience tours are offered, guests are allowed to participate in only one included experience per call unless otherwise specified in the tour description. The hike is around 3 miles (5km) round trip, with approx. 490ft (150m) elevation gain. This is an active tour which is focused mostly on the activity of hiking itself. There are no toilet facilities and no real breaks along the way. Not advisable for guests with mobility limitations. It is essential that you wear warm, layered clothing in order to fully enjoy and participate in this excursion. Outer layer should be waterproof and windproof. Bring gloves, a warm hat and a scarf.
