Eidfjord is a smaller fjord extending from the larger Hardangerfjord at its upper reaches. It is one of the most scenic regions in the fjordlands of Norway. The new Hardanger Suspension Bridge crosses the Eidfjord with a span of over 4,500 feet, with a deck 180 feet high, suspended from two 660-foot towers. Eidfjord is surrounded by high, snowcapped peaks.
