Visit the Church of St Mavra, located in the village of Maherado. Built during the 14th century, it is considered one of the most important churches on the island. Check out its remarkable collection of fine icons and frescoes painted by famous Greek artists.
The deepest point in the Mediterranean lies just off the dramatic cliffs at Kampi. Enjoy a Greek meze (tapa) with a glass of ouzo here while two dancers perform.
