Go beyond the ordinary with this day soaring above the Caribbean. Today the thrill-seeker can go on an adventure gliding above the treetops, taking in breathtaking views of the island’s lush rainforests and enjoying an adrenaline-pumping experience high above ground.
Climb to 2,000 feet above sea level on a gondola ride past ancient trees, persistent vines and animated birdlife. The ascending route will plunge you into the thick of the Caribbean oceanic forest. Reaching the top of the line, you'll find yourself at the base of La Sorcière mountain. It is here that your adventure really begins.
At the top station, disembark for a short 15-to-20-minute hike on a trail, which winds its way through the magnificent mature forest, past some impressive buttress root systems and to the first zip-line platform. Buckle up and batten down – it's all downhill from here. Experience the thrill of gliding through the tree canopy high above the bustle of the city, in the cool verdant air of the forest. Your knowledgeable guide puts you through the paces as you zip from platform to platform on cables suspended between the sturdy trunks of these gentle-giant trees.
After your exhilarating "flight," you'll hike a short distance to meet the tram for the final descent. Suspended above the forest canopy with commanding views of the island, the gondola delivers you safely to the base camp for the drive back to the ship.
Please Note: Closed-toe walking/hiking shoes are mandatory (no high heels, sandals or flip-flops). Not suitable for pregnant woman or persons with back or neck injuries. Suitable only for the physically fit. Minimum age is 8 years. Maximum weight is 350 lbs. Minimum waist size is 18 inches and maximum waist size is 50 inches. The route is winding. Guests who are prone to motion sickness should consider this before booking and/or take appropriate medication. A waiver must be signed to participate. Clothes may become damaged, please dress accordingly. Minimize the size of the belongings you are carrying as you will need to place in a locker at a small fee.
