Take part in a sensory excursion that includes relaxing on a tropical beach, appreciating history and culture, and taking in some beautiful natural landmarks.
Get acquainted with Curaçao's capital on a panoramic drive through downtown Willemstad -- a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As you make your way through cobblestone streets past pastel-colored Dutch colonial buildings, you'll learn plenty of fun facts.
Next, you'll drive out of the city to visit the magnificent Hato Caves, more than 200,000 years old. Walk with your guide through this subterranean wonder, which features a breathtaking array of stalagmites and stalactites.
On one of the island's most beautiful western beaches, a beach chair awaits. Had your fill of loafing? Belly up to the beach bar or swim in the blue water of the Caribbean.
En route back to the ship, you will pass the natural salt flats, where you might spot some wild flamingos.
Please note: The beach is secluded, in its natural state and may be rocky in places; wear aqua shoes. Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Swim at your own risk. Terrain includes many stairs at the Hato Caves. Wear sturdy non-skid walking shoes. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed.
