If you love trying local foods in faraway places, you'll love this culinary walking tour of downtown Charlottetown.
Led by a friendly and knowledgeable guide, this approximately 3.5-hour walk and taste adventure introduces you to some of PEI's special foods and beverages, and a bit of the Charlottetown's history as well.
You will stop at several restaurants and a brew pub. Tastes include fresh mussels, oysters, craft beer and other special treats.
Known as the Birthplace of Confederation, Charlottetown hosted the 1864 Conference that began the process of establishing Canada as an independent nation. That important history comes alive through the engaging stories of some of the city's most fascinating people, buildings and events.
Please note: Tour includes tastings of seafood and other potential allergens. Participants with food allergies should inquire about ingredients while on the tour and use their own discretion. Some locations require climbing 10 - 20 stairs. Tour requires about two miles of walking in intervals of about ten minutes at a time. Many of the tasting venues have seating available. Must be at least 19 years of age ot consume alcoholic beverages. All guests should be prepared to show photo ID at venues if asked.
