Nestled northerly in Western Australia, Wyndham is often recognized as the gateway to the Kimberley and is surrounded by some of the world's most spectacular landforms, rivers, and wetlands in the Kimberley.
The frontier township of Kununurra, about an hour’s drive inland and the green capital of the north, owes its verdant surroundings to the largest manmade lake on the Australian mainland; the nearby Lake Argyle and the smaller Lake Kununurra.
Wyndham serves as a jumping point for Seabourn to Kununurra, El Questro National Park, and the Bungle Bungles.

Ord River Experience:
Travel to Kununurra to board a small boat on the Ord River. Look for wildlife and enjoy incredibly lush (then incredibly dry) landscapes between here and Lake Argyle.
El Questro National Park:
Questro cattle station is about a 45-minute drive south-west from Wyndham. The station is a million-acre wilderness park and a cruise on the park’s Chamberlain Gorge is a must. The Gorge is a 3km fresh waterhole bounded by tropical vegetation dwarfed by a towering 200ft escarpment, and guests are rewarded with excellent examples of Wandjina and Bradshaw rock art at the far end. Visit Emma Gorge and Zebedee Thermal Springs with a local ranger from El Questro.
Bungle Bungles Scenic Flight:
Go flightseeing over the World Heritage site of the Bungle Bungle Range in Purnululu National Park. This will afford a breathtaking perspective of these unique formations. It seems incredible these ranges were not ‘’discovered’’ until the mid-1980’s. A television crew stumbled upon the starkly beautiful range and its unique, beehive-shaped domes. The domes are bordered by great banded cliffs that glow fire-red in the late afternoon sun.
