Begin with a scenic journey through Tokyo’s vibrant cityscape. The first stop will be at the Tokyo Tower which is one of the city’s most iconic landmarks, standing at 333 meters tall. You will have the opportunity to ascend to the observation decks, where you can enjoy stunning panoramic views of the sprawling metropolis beneath you. The tower, originally inspired by the Eiffel Tower, offers a mix of modern architecture and a rich history, symbolizing Tokyo's post-war rebirth.
Following the Tokyo Tower visit, you will continue to Zojo-ji Temple, located near the tower. This historic Buddhist temple has been a significant place of worship for centuries, and its peaceful grounds offer a sharp contrast to the bustling city surrounding it. Zojo-ji is also the family temple of the Tokugawa Shoguns, adding an important historical layer to the experience. The temple is particularly noted for its stunning main hall and its tranquil cemetery, where visitors can reflect on the deep history of Tokyo.
After, you will head to Momijitei, a restaurant renowned for Teppanyaki. You can enjoy lunch while watching meat and other ingredients being grilled right in front of you on a teppan (iron plate). Please take this opportunity to savor teppanyaki, a rare experience even for Japanese locals.
Once lunch is finished, our tour will visit Shunkaen BONSAI Museum. This unique museum, created by Bonsai master Kunio Kobayashi, offers a fascinating glimpse into the delicate art of bonsai cultivation. With a wide variety of bonsai trees, including some that are over 1,000 years old, the museum is a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. Here, you can learn about the intricate techniques involved in bonsai care and gain a deeper appreciation for this centuries-old art form.
Having experienced many aspects of Tokyo, it's time to head back to the pier.
Please Note:
The tour includes the Main Deck of Tokyo Tower, it does not include the Top Deck. The Bonsai Museurm has unpaved grounds, and you will be required to remove your shooes before entering the house.
