Take in the breathtaking beauty of Zakynthos with a one-hour panoramic drive that follows the coastline and introduces you to the island's lovely scenery.
Next, step aboard a basic, local ferry-style boat for a ride past the small coves that dot the rocky shoreline. Lush vegetation blankets the hills, and the waters look impossibly blue, especially at the aptly-named Blue Caves. As you pass these photogenic grottoes, notice how the sunlight creates unusual patterns on their interiors -- it's a mesmerizing sight.
Smugglers Cove, with its sheer limestone cliffs, crystal-clear water and pristine beach, is so picture-perfect that it is the most photographed place on Zakynthos.
Stop at another cove for a swim in the Ionian Sea -- cooling, refreshing and inspiring.
A scenic one-hour coach transfer returns you to Zakynthos.
Please note: The boat is a basic ferry with minimal seating outside. More seats are available inside; however, these are on a first-come, first-served basis. You will not go ashore or swim at Smuggler's Cove. Swimming takes place from another beach; you must jump into the water, swim to the beach, and climb a ladder when you return to the boat. Please realistically assess your physical fitness and ability prior to booking. Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Swim at your own risk. Bring aqua shoes.
