Norman Island, a tiny, uninhabited patch of paradise off the coast of Virgin Gorda, inspired Robert Louis Stevenson's famous book Treasure Island.
Board a twin-engine launch and enjoy a scenic 30-minute ride across the Sir Francis Drake Channel to the island -- one of the British Virgin Islands' prime snorkel sites. An experienced snorkel instructor leads you as you snorkel in pristine surroundings at the Indians or the Caves at Treasure Point. Pirate treasure is said to have been hidden here. The caves are spectacular, with coral and red sponges covering the walls. Take in the vast variety of fish swimming beneath you.
Then, relocate to a second site for more swimming and snorkeling in shallower water before you return to Jost van Dyke.
