Explore the south shore of Nova Scotia for the day, beginning with a relaxing drive to the town of Lunenburg. Settled in the mid-1750s by German and Swiss immigrants and famously known as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Lunenburg claims to be the prettiest town in Canada. What do you think? Once the busiest ship-building town in the world, it is still a bustling fishing port, and the locals retain one of the most interesting accents in North America.
Walk with your guide on a short route that highlights Lunenburg's significant seafaring history. Then, enjoy free time to explore the simple coastal beauty, folk art, and shops of this landmark waterfront town.
Head to Mahone Bay -- a colorful village filled with antique stores and artisan shops. Snap a photo of the clutch of three churches that grace the waterfront before reboarding your coach and traveling back to the ship.
Please note: Wear comfortable walking shoes. Lunch is not included. You will have time to purchase lunch at your own expense during the tour.
