Eden's Killer Whale Trail is rich with whales and tales of adventure. Your tour takes you to two of the most significant sites in the dramatic century of whaling in Eden from 1828 to 1930.
Begin with a visit to the Eden Killer Whale Museum. In the 1920s and '30s, Twofold Bay and the area around Eden were home to a group of killer whales led by a large whale known to locals as Old Tom. Learn more about this fascinating story and take in the fine views of the bay from the gallery.
A snack is served at the Seahorse Inn at Boydtown. Here, you'll learn how the legend of interaction between man and the local wild orca whales began at Boydtown Beach, with the Thaua people performing rituals and dances to call to the killer whales.
