Known as the last frontier of the Philippines, Palawan's Calamian archipelago showcases the grandeur of nature.
Board a boat to explore the islands and let the Coron area captivate you with its dazzling white sand and crystal-clear seawater.
First up is Bulog Island, which only takes minutes to walk around. It is a small islet with a great beach, and the waters around it offer excellent snorkeling (gear provided). Next, hop over to Banana Island, also featuring a beautiful beach and lovely white sand. The water is crystal clear and if you swim out a bit from the shore, you can enjoy more great snorkeling.
Saving the best for last, you'll head to Malcapuya Island with one of the best beaches in the Calamian group. The water is shallow, so you have to walk out quite a long way before it gets deeper. There are plenty of fish fearlessly darting about, and you might be lucky enough to spot some giant clams on the sea floor.
A picnic-style lunch is served on one of the islands before you head back to the ship.
Please note:
Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Swim at your own risk. Snorkeling is done from the boat at one location. Boats used are modified fishing boats or outrigger boats. Getting into and out of the boat can be a challenge. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations. There is no changing room on board the boat. Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, sunscreen and a hat. There is a small, roofless restroom on the boat -- it is extremely basic.
