Meet your guide at the tender pier, where you’ll embark on a short walk to the artisanal gin distillery located at the Protea Hotel by Mariott Mossel Bay. This distillery captures the true spirit of Eden through carefully chosen botanicals. Inspired by the unique Southern coast of Africa, it celebrates the connection between humans and nature, gathering botanicals from diverse landscapes including rugged coastlines, majestic mountain plateaus, dense ancient forests, and remote semi-arid deserts.
Upon arrival, enjoy a welcoming Cape Saint Blaize G&T cocktail—an enticing introduction to the flavors that await. Craft your personalized bottle of Cape Saint Blaize Gin during a 90-minute masterclass, exploring flavor profiles and history. While the gin undergoes its distillation process, savor a gin tasting paired with canapés. The tutored tasting features three gins, each complemented by a canapé.
Next, visit the factory on the same premises to learn about gin production. Return to the class, label your bottle with your name, and pour the gin into it. Conclude the experience with a delightful Cape Saint Blaize Liquor Tasting, selecting your favorite flavored 375ml gin liquor in a porcelain bottle.
Choose to stroll back to the ship with your guide or explore charming Mossel Bay at your own pace. Please note that transportation is not provided; it’s a short walk from the tender pier to Cape St. Blaize.
