Over 40 percent of Alaskan’s live in Anchorage, the state’s most populous city. Located on the Cook Inlet, and backed by the Chugach, Kenai and Talkeetna mountain ranges, it is not strictly speaking a port of call for cruise ships, but Seabourn guests arrive at the nearby port of Seward and are transported by rail along the Turnagain Arm into the city, to either connect with their homeward flights or continue their Alaska adventures by rail to Denali National Park. During their stay in Anchorage, many take advantage of the impressive Alaska Native Heritage Center, with displays of traditional lifestyles, crafts and artifacts.
