Transfer by public ferry to the pretty island of La Digue. A scenic drive by open-air safari-style bus takes you from La Passe Harbor to L'Union Estate. See the old Creole house and coconut factory here -- a glimpse of island life from many years ago.
Next, you'll head to one of La Digue's beaches. The island's beaches are among the finest in the world, especially Anse Source D'Argent -- a perfect spot for photos and a refreshing swim. For centuries, the soft white sands and dramatic granite boulders have enchanted visitors and locals alike.
Keep an eye out for La Digue's paradise flycatcher -- a bird with a distinctive black plumage.
