In perfect contrast, Arduaine Garden's sheltered location takes you on a mini journey across the plant world. Encapsulating the intimacy of a private garden, yet with a world-class collection, Arduaine offers enchanting woodlands, pristine lawns, lily-strewn ponds, and spectacular, award-winning displays of rhododendrons and azaleas. Developed by one of the great Victorian plant hunters, James Campbell, and now in the care of the National Trust for Scotland, this 20-acre garden is home to a huge variety of plants from around the globe. Some rare and tender species surprisingly thrive in the warm, west coastal climate. From great towering trees to colorful herbaceous borders, from moss-covered rocks to magnificent blue Tibetan poppies and giant Himalayan lilies, Arduaine Garden will delight and intrigue you at every turn.
