Discover the two worlds of St. Maarten as you travel from the Dutch capital of Philipsburg to the French capital of Marigot. The island has been shared by Holland and France since 1648.
You will board a modern air-conditioned motorcoach to enjoy the charm and romance of this scenic paradise. Departing Philipsburg, you will travel past the once-great salt pond and up Mount William Hill for a beautiful view of the Dutch capital and harbor.
Continue through the countryside toward the Dutch/French border, with only a monument to indicate you have entered another country. Pass the district of Orléans, once the capital of the French side. From Hope Hill, you will take in a spectacular view of Orient Beach, nearby Pinel Island, and St Barthélemy. Continue through Grand Case, the island's gourmet capital, and past lovely beaches and typical, tranquil Caribbean villages.
Your first stop is at Marigot, the French capital, where you will have 45 minutes of free time to browse at the outdoor food market, at inviting sidewalk cafés, and array of duty-free shops.
As you journey through Cole Bay, you'll stop at the International Look Out Point, where you will be treated to magnificent views of the western side of the island, Simpson Bay Lagoon, and neighboring islands.
Your excursion ends with a drop-off at the airport for your flight home.
Please note: This tour is available only to guests whose cruise ends in Philipsburg, with flights departing after 3:00 pm. You can purchase lunch at your own expense during your free time in Marigot.
