Go beyond the ordinary and explore the paradise island of Bequia, with its unforgettable shorelines and vibrant culture. Here, you'll unveil a tapestry of delights from the historical landmarks and natural wonders that make the Caribbean an unforgettable adventure.
Start the day by hopping into an open-top safari vehicle bound for Hamilton Fort. This 18th-century landmark is located on a stunning hilltop and consists of the ruins of old battle sites. Learn about the historical events that shaped modern-day Bequia.
Head to a small landmark building in Bequia. A surprise awaits inside -- a small store absolutely brimming with colorful Caribbean print fabrics. These are brilliantly representative of the style, panache and lifestyle of Bequia. Ruth, the well-known owner, takes you on a very compact tour of her mini-factory. You may even be lucky enough to see some fabrics being printed.
Continue to Mount Pleasant, the highest accessible point on the island, which is accessible only by way of a steep, mountainous road. From the top, enjoy panoramic views of the neighboring islands.
Back in Port Elizabeth, discover a bustling Caribbean town. You will have free time to shop for local souvenirs and enjoy the culture before returning to the ship.
