Welcome to Annapolis Valley, home to Nova Scotia’s Wine Country. Join this scenic and tasty tour and travel into the heart of the Annapolis Valley along the shores of the Bay of Fundy. Along the way you’ll enjoy wine tastings at two unique award-winning wineries, one featuring a group lunch overlooking the shores of the Minas Basin, fed by the Bay of Fundy.
Your first stop will be for a guided wine tasting while enjoying a locally inspired lunch at Luckett Vineyards. The picturesque vineyard landscapes create a truly enchanting environment for your gastronomic experience.
Your second stop will be for a vineyard tour and tasting of two or three wines. Here you’ll learn about cool climate wine styles while tasting aromatic whites, cool climate reds and new appellation wine, Tidal Bay, while walking through breathtaking vineyards and state-of-the-art tasting rooms.
On this tour, you’ll also learn about the rich Acadian history including the dykelands of Grand Pre – a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There’s much to know about their deportation and the Cajun connection.
Please note: Minimum age is 21 years. You will see evidence of the extreme tide changes but not the famous tidal bore of the Bay of Fundy, which is only visible much further up the bay in St. John. Travel time is 75 minutes to the Annapolis Valley and 75 minutes back to the ship. Wear comfortable walking shoes.
