A rugged coastline, stunning lookouts and unspoiled beaches are must-see features of the Eyre Peninsula. Travel by coach with a friendly guide to discover the district’s beaches, roaring surf, jagged coastal cliffs and great photo opportunities.
To start your adventure, head to Winters Hill Lookout for stunning views over Port Lincoln, and to the local marina – Australia’s busiest commercial fishing port.Then travel to Fishery Bay Lookout. This vantage point reveals wide beaches and rolling seas below. Not far away is Cape Wiles, whose sheer cliffs offer sweeping views and perhaps even a glimpse of a colony of New Zealand fur seals playing or lounging on the rocks.
Next, head to Cape Carnot, where high winds create a spectacular interaction of ocean spray crashing against the rocks. Theakstone’s Crevasse – a fault fracture that is believed to be millions of years old – is the perfect spot to witness the sheer beauty of this unspoiled and isolated region.
