After transferring to the jetty, set off by boat to Al Maya -- a paradise of serene escape from the bustle of the city. The island is home to more than 5,000 Arabian dhabis (gazelles), from whom Abu Dhabi’s name derives. Al Maya Island is a private island with an enormous swimming pool overlooking the Arabian Gulf.
