Enjoy a 50-minute coach transfer to the Kadowaki Family Residence. Built in 1769, the house has a traditional Japanese thatched roof. It is designated an Important Cultural Property of Japan and usually opens only twice a year. Today, the tour operator has arranged an exclusive opening for Seabourn guests. This is your chance to see the lifestyle of the Edo Period (1603-1867) -- it feels like a trip back in time.
Next, savor a Japanese-style lunch at Kaike Onsen, located in Yonago. The venue features onsen (hot springs) and a Japanese garden here were created by Masayuki Nagare -- a famous landscape architect. Seasonal flowers, and fresh breezes welcome everyone for a therapeutic experience. You will have time for a dip in the hot springs if you wish.
Please note:
You must remove your shoes at one or more location(s). Tattoos must be completely covered at the hot springs. Photography is not allowed. There are many rules to using the hot spring baths, and these must be followed; these include washing before entering the bath, no splashing, and no excessive noise; towels can be used for modesty, but bathing is naked (swimsuits are not allowed).
