Drive through the township of Milne Bay and up the hill for a panoramic view of Alotau -- a great place to take photos.
Masurina Lodge welcomes you for an arrival beverage. Then, heading to the hotel kitchen, you'll begin a fun-filled cooking class. It's all hands-on as you are guided by a local chef who helps you to prepare a typical, traditional clay-pot meal.
While your food is cooking, visit the small, private World War II exhibit on display at Masurina Lodge.
Once lunch is ready, it's time to take a seat in the air-conditioned dining room and enjoy the meal you helped to prepare earlier.
There may be time afterward to swim, use the waterslide, or have a drink at the bar (at your own expense). Guests wishing to stay in town to shop or explore independently are welcome to do so and can return to the ship by public shuttle.
Please note: This is a cooking instructional course to assist in the preparation of aspects of the meal but not cook the whole meal. Walking is required over several surfaces, including grassy, dirt and gravel. Pathways may be uneven surfaces with some steps. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations. Tour sequence may vary. Tour does not operate on holidays.
