Embark on a 1.5-hour transfer from Durban harbor to the captivating Monkeyland—a free-roaming, multi-species primate sanctuary. Our mission? To ignite your curiosity about our primate cousins and the challenges they face.
As you explore, encounter a vibrant tapestry of capuchin monkeys, ringtail lemurs, black-and-white ruffed lemurs, buff-cheeked gibbons, squirrel monkeys, and black howler monkeys—all thriving in their lush forest habitat.
But that’s not all! Amidst the breathtaking scenery, you’ll discover countless other natural wonders during your guided walking tour.
Hop aboard a safari 4x4 vehicle to reach the heart of the forest, where the walking adventure begins. And remember, at Monkeyland, we uphold a strict no-touch policy, ensuring the well-being of our primate friends
After this eco-friendly escapade, return to Durban harbor, your senses buzzing with newfound knowledge and awe.
Notes:
Wear closed toed shoes as you will be walking in the forest. Upon arrival at Monkeyland you will be transferred by 4x4 into the forest for your guided walk. This is a no touch sanctuary. Even though Monkey sightings are likely, they are not guaranteed. This tour is not meant for guests with mobility issues as guests will need to board and exit the 4X4 vehicles with little to no assistance.
