Set out from 656 feet (200m) above sea level on this fantastic fjord hike up Brosmetinden, 1732 feet (528m) in elevation. It is a relatively easy walk to the peak, which offers a fantastic view of Kvaløya and the Arctic Sea.
The path ascends through sloping terrain toward the south ridge. From here, take in the broad vista of the Arctic Sea, Sessøya and Skamtinden.
The views are amazing, and there are many points along the way to pause and rest for a while, or to simply suspend your own hike and wait for the group to return from above before rejoining. Whatever your choice, you will have a splendid view to absorb.
Weather permitting, you may spot the alpine landscape on the adventure island of Senja, cloudberry shrubs, and perhaps even reindeer grazing in the area. Watch for eagles circling over the peaks.
On the way back, you'll drive to Grøtfjord village and walk along a beach on the Arctic Sea .
Please note: Dress warmly in layers with gloves, a scarf, and a hat; outer layer should be windproof and waterproof. Terrain includes even and uneven surfaces, inclines, gravel, and steps. Wear sturdy non-skid walking shoes. Participants must be in good physical condition. Wheelchairs cannot be accommodated on this tour. Minimum age is 8 years. There are no restroom facilities available during the hike. There is no requirement to reach the top; you can stop whenever you like.
