A cruise by RIB (rigid inflatable boat) is a great way to enjoy the scenery in the sheltered waters near Tromsø.
View the sights, look for wildlife and listen to local stories as you cruise towards Ryøya Island. With a little bit of luck, you might spot eagles in the sky and/or harbor porpoises in the water.
Continue to Håkøya Island and hear the story of the Tirpitz -- one of Germany's largest World War II battleships -- which sank close to the shoreline. A monument to the dead can be seen from the sea.
Please note: Participants must be in good physical condition, in good health and able to swim. Survival suits are provided and must be worn. Bring your own binoculars. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed. Minimum age is 12 years. Different types of speedboat will be used -- some have sitting spaces in the front and standing places in the back. Waiver must be signed and medical conditions disclosed.
