Enjoy this half-day tour with amazing views over the Stryn Valley, and discover the secrets of Jostedal Glacier through the interpretive displays at the National Park Center.
Set out from Loen, situated on Nordfjord, which is an arm of the larger Sognefjord -- the longest fjord in Norway. A pleasant panoramic drive takes you through the village of Stryn, renowned for its stunning natural beauty, majestic mountains, deep fjords, and lush valleys. Take photos at the beginning of the National Gamle Strynefjellvegen scenic byway to capture the magnificent views encompassing the whole valley.
One of the prominent features of the Stryn region is Jostedalsbreen Glacier -- the largest glacier in continental Europe. The glacier covers a significant portion of Jostedalsbreen National Park. Before heading back to the ship, you'll visit the National Park visitor center, which focuses on the nature, cultural heritage, and people around the glacier.
Please note: Wear comfortable walking shoes. Dress warmly in layers with gloves, a scarf, and a hat; outer layer should be windproof and waterproof. Standard-size collapsible wheelchairs can be stored on the transportation; electric wheelchairs and scooters are not allowed. Participants must be able to board and disembark the motorcoach unassisted. Restrooms are available at the National Park visitor center. Tour sequence may vary.
