Enjoy fish tasting at Gothenburg’s iconic Fish Market Hall (known locally as Feskekörka -- the fish church). Since 1874, the market has occupied one of Gothenburg’s most iconic buildings. Why is the fish market so named? Its architectural style features pointed arched windows and construction without partitions or pillars, reminiscent of a church. This food hall is all about fish counters, restaurants, bars, and national and international guest chefs in its many kitchens.
Transfer to Gustav Adolf Square and walk toward Avenyn -- Gothenburg’s most famous boulevard. See the Great Theatre and pass through Kungsparken (King’s Park). You’ll find the Fish Church located in the jumping Vallgraven neighborhood.
Sample three different canapés -- one with herring, one with salmon and one with prawn mayonnaise, along with a glass of beer and a short presentation about fish.
Head back to the pier by coach afterward.
Please note: Tour requires approximately one hour of walking. Minimum age to drink alcohol is 18 years, with a companion aged 21 years or older. Younger guests will receive a soft drink.
