Enjoy a panoramic drive through Gothenburg, Sweden's second-largest city. Founded in 1621 by the King Gustav II Adolf, to be a strong fortress in the west, the town grew quickly into an important trade and maritime city.
Masthuggs Church reveals a magnificent view of Gothenburg and the port. In the heart of the city you will pass Götaplatsen -- with the famous Poseidon Fountain -- the Museum of Fine Arts, the Concert Hall and the Municipal Theatre.
View well-known Liseberg Amusement Park, the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre, Scandinavium and Ullevi arenas.
At Kungsbroplatsen, leave your coach and board a sightseeing boat. This classic city tour by boat shows off the beauty of Gothenburg from a waterside perspective as you take in the sights including traditional shipyards, the fishing harbor, new and old housing, expanding commercial and academic sites and the maritime museum. See the old moat and the canals that date from the 17th century while learning about the history of the city's construction and defense. The boat passes under many low bridges, including the Osthyveln (cheese slicer) bridge, which brings you out into the fascinating harbor.
Please note: Participants must step up/down to embark/disembark sightseeing boat. The boat is not covered; tour operates rain or shine. Tour order may vary. Masthuggs Church will only be seen from the outside. There is an approximately 200 metres uphill walk to Masthuggs Church.
