Journey in the direction of the Mourne Mountains to Neary Nogs Chocolate Experience, nestled in a charming and rustic setting. This family-run chocolate factory, known for its dedication to quality and sustainability, introduces you to the world of artisanal chocolate from bean to bar. The aroma of freshly-roasted cacao beans fills the air. Join a guided tour led by passionate chocolatiers whose mission is to share the history of Neary Nogs and the origins of their ethically-sourced cacao beans. The experience concludes with a tasting session in a cozy, inviting space with Neary Nogs' finest chocolates and your choice of drinking chocolate.
Visit seasoned cook Mrs C in her family home kitchen -- a delightful space fostering warm hospitality. She effortlessly transforms local ingredients into delicious treats through perfect technique and total passion. While she demonstrates the importance of precision and patience, her approach is inclusive and encouraging, making even complex dishes seem approachable.
Relax and enjoy the preparation of homemade griddle potato bread. These become a light lunch of tacos filled with flavorsome pulled pork and homemade slaw. Please note: Lunch is pre-prepared; however, the potato griddle bread is demonstrated for you. Participants will gather around the island for the demonstration; sit-down tables and high seating are available for eating. Tour requires standing for the duration of the studio tour at Neary Nogs. There is only one restroom available at Neary Nog's; the restroom is not wheelchair accessible. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair. Minimum age is 12 years.
