On this tour, you will discover the modern part of Valencia as well as La Albufera, a Natural Park located in the South of Valencia.
Your bus will leave the port of Valencia for a panoramic drive through the city. Crossing the river we continue to the Gran Vía and Calle Játiva where we can admire the external Bull Ring and the Central train station. Once in town, we will get off the coach for a walking tour where we will see the late Gothic style houses and the main and central market of the city. Next to it, you will see another Gothic building which was once the old Silk Exchange and is now an exhibition pavilion with an impressive façade constructed on helicoidally columns.
Our walk will continue to the Plaza Redonda, to the Valencia Cathedral for a photo stop, nearby Plaza de la Virgen and will end close to Torres de Serrano to re-board the bus. Next, you’ll leave the city and head towards La Albufera, where we will see the stunning and modern City of Arts & Sciences complex from the bus.
La Albufera is a Natural Park in an area located in the South of Valencia. It contains an incredible lagoon, one of the biggest animal and plant natural reserves and a rice plantation. For centuries, Valencians have been living here and using the lagoon for many activities. The typical labor house of the area is called a Barraca. Today you will have the chance to see one of them from a nice boat ride before we reach the restaurant where a typical lunch will be served. After lunch, we return by bus back to the ship.
Please note: Wear comfortable shoes and clothes. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilize a wheelchair.
