Board the coach and drive to Scorrano through the Salento countryside, which is famous for its landscape full of olive-trees, typical red soil, and dry-stone walls.
Upon arrival at in the small village of Scorrano, passengers will be welcomed at “Azienda Agraria Duca Carlo Guarini”, a farming enterprise which is still today run by the descendants of the noble family of the Guarinis, that came from Normandy and settled in Salento in the 11th century A.D.
Here we will visit the wine-cellar and the underground-oil mill of the 15th century dug of the stone: at the end of the tour we will enjoy a tasting based on 3 kinds of wine and the specialties produced by the company, such as some kinds of extra virgin olive oil, vegetables stored in oil (sun-dried tomatoes, artichokes, pitted olives) and vegetables patès (peppers, olives, tomatoes, artichokes) with Apulian dry bakery products such as “friselline” and “tarallini” (small pretzels).
After the visit and tasting transfer back to Gallipoli port.
