This transfer may suit you if you would like to explore on your own. It consists of a motorcoach ride from the ship to Taormina. You will be dropped off at a central location, and the coach escort will advise you of the pick-up time for the return journey. You will have approximately 2.5 hours to shop and explore independently.

Guide service, taxi transfers, entrance fees and lunch are not included in the transfer price. It is your responsibility to be at the pick-up point at the given return time. An English-speaking escort will be aboard the transfer motorcoach to answer questions en route. Bring local currency, as many vendors do not accept credit cards or US dollars. Travel time to Taormina is approximately 20 minutes each way. Expect crowding in Taormina. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Terrain includes even and uneven surfaces, cobblestones, inclines, many steps, and an elevator to climb from the parking area to the town. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations; if there is an extended wait for the elevator, participants will be required to reach the parking area by stairs (approximately 140 steps) to meet back up with the transportation at the appointed time.
