Next up is Taormina -- one of the Mediterranean's most popular resorts -- renowned since antiquity for its climate and beauty. Enjoy a leisurely stroll through the medieval Old Town, complete with the 15th-century Corvaja Palace. Take in the stunning views of Mt Etna, the sparkling sea, and your ship far below. Some free time gives you a chance to wander along the Corso Umberto or to visit the 3rd-century Greco-Roman theatre (at your own expense; time permitting). Be sure to browse in the boutiques tucked in Taormina's charming alleyways.
