Leave St Pierre and head to the green oasis of the aptly-named Emerald Estate, just a few steps away from the village of Morne Rouge. You'll find yourself in the lush heart of the island.
The goal of this educational garden is to highlight the exceptional biodiversity of Martinique so that visitors can better understand the tropical species and natural landscapes of the island. Using all of your senses, hear the air, taste the scents, and feel the birdsong.
You will also visit the Emerald Estate stage gallery, designed to be pedagogical, instructive, and recreational. The natural history of Martinique comes to life in this interactive space, which is a cleverly illustrated journey.
Walk through the prodigious, generous forest, which shares its wellbeing with more than a hundred endemic species.
