Leave St. Pierre and head to the green oasis of Emerald Estate, located a few steps away from the village of Morne Rouge. Here you’ll find yourself in the lush heart of the island.
The goal of this educational garden is to help everyone observe the exceptional biodiversity of Martinique through a playful visit adapted to all audiences. Throughout the tour you’ll better understand the tropical species and natural landscapes of the island, where the air can be heard, smells can be savored, and noises can be felt.
You will also visit he Emerald Estate stage gallery – designed to be pedagogical, instructive, and recreational – where you will learn about the natural history of Martinique. This interactive space can be approached as a cleverly illustrated discovery of nature.
You will continue your exploration by walking through the middle of the generous forest, which is home to over a hundred endemic species. You will finish your visit with a local drink.
