Join our friendly, knowledgeable local guides weaving through the beautiful forest trails to 2 lookouts, visiting the Maori carvings placed strategically throughout. Descend through the century-old tunnel (closed to the Public) to the base of the breathtaking Omanawa Waterfall and view the hydro-electric power station up close.
Immerse yourself in the surrounding flora and fauna while listening to the stories of the area, the Awa (River), and the cultural values of mana whenua.
Please Note:
Wear comfortable walking shoes. Not suitable for guests with mobility issues. There are alot of stairs, and confined spaces through the old tunnels. May not be suitable for guests who are afraid of heights.
