Embark on an exclusive Art and Food Culture Tour. Our knowledgeable guide will lead you to the charming country town of Geraldine, where you'll discover a diverse array of galleries, showcasing the works of talented locals and some of New Zealand's most esteemed artists.
Geraldine is renowned nationally for its food products and cafes. During the tour, a morning or afternoon tea will be provided at a local café that showcases the products. Additionally, we have arranged a visit to a Gin Distillery, where you can indulge in special gin tastings that will delight your taste buds.
Immerse yourself in the vibrant art world with our unique tour. Get up close and personal with the art scene, as you view and engage in conversations with gallery owners. This is a rare chance to gain insights directly from the creators. You'll also witness a Gilding Demonstration by one of the gallery owners. After this enriching art exploration, you'll have ample time to browse through a variety of arts, crafts, and shopping outlets in the town.
The tour concludes with a visit to a local brewery/restaurant where participants can sample beers or wine accompanied by a selection of locally produced food products, including salmon, venison, lamb, and cheeses curated by the chef. It's then just a leisurely drive of 30 minutes to rejoin the ship at the Port of Timaru.
