Here's a one-of-a-kind flightseeing adventure in a Grumman Mallard. The Mallard aircraft was first built in 1944 and was designed to serve as a luxury small-harbor-based aircraft. Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corporation built only 59 Mallards between 1946 and 1951, making your flight in a modified turbine version today a rare and exclusive opportunity. The Paspaley Pearling Company operates three heavily modified Mallards to service their pearl farms. The company deems that there is no other aircraft in the world capable of carrying both pearling passengers and freight to its remote destinations in Australia's Top End (far north).
The Mallard is an amphibious aircraft, so you will experience an exhilarating take-off from the water to enjoy scenic minutes soaring above Kuri Bay's spectacular wild landscape. Under the direction of your experienced pilot, sit back and enjoy the excitement as you fly over the pristine wilderness of the Kimberley, hugging the rugged coastline and viewing the multi-hued blue waters of the Indian Ocean. Your flight also showcases the picturesque pearl farms below. This bird's-eye perspective of Kuri Bay is a privilege to witness.
