Come and join us on a bushwalk with stunning views, wildlife and empty beaches in Beowa National Park.
We travel North in the bus to our starting point at Barmouth Beach overlooking the sapphire blue waters of the Pambula River mouth. After exploring the beach and admiring the views, we begin our walk through a tall eucalypt forest with views North along the coast
Our walk is 4 km along the coast to Haycock Point. The coastline is spectacular with the sapphire waters of the Pambula River flowing along dramatic cliffs formed 360 million years ago. Along the way we may see iconic Australian animals such as the Eastern Grey Kangaroo, Wallaby, Goanna and plenty of bird species. Taking us around two hours, the walk is easy to moderate with a few short uphill sections.
When we arrive at picturesque Haycock Point, you will enjoy an Australian morning or afternoon tea.
We will then begin the trip back to Eden Wharf, stopping at The Pinnacles along the way to enjoy a short walk (1km) and viewpoint at this interesting geological feature.
Please note:
Wear sturdy non-skid walking shoes. Shade is limited; to avoid sunburn, wear light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up. Bring a hat and sunglasses; wear biodegradable sunscreen. Bring bottled water.
