Enjoy a chartered cruise on beautiful Akaroa Harbour, formed by a massive volcanic eruption. Discover the fascinating geological history and rich marine life of the harbor as you sail across its deep blue waters.
The highlight of your journey will no doubt be the magnificent Cathedral Cave -- home to a variety of sea birds, including the spotted shag and little blue penguin. While cruising towards the head of the harbor, you may also spot fur seals and the playful Hector's dolphin -- one of the world's smallest oceanic dolphins. These beautiful marine mammals love riding the bow waves of the launch.
On your return to Akaroa, you will pass the Akaroa Salmon Farm, where salmon are raised in protected pens before being harvested and exported around the world.
