Begin your day with tea, coffee and freshly baked pastries, before diving into the Gourmet Akaroa cooking class.
Seafood is sourced directly from the wharf, and meat comes from the local butcher, most of which is farmed right on the Peninsula. Fresh vegetables, ripe fruit, nuts, and olive oil are predominantly sourced from the cooking school’s own gardens.
This indulgent day will see you and your group spending time with the owners of the Akaroa Cooking School, immersing yourselves in the rich food culture and history of the area. By the end of the day, you'll be inspired with new culinary skills and a collection of recipes to recreate these dishes at home.
Each course is paired with award-winning local wines, making for a perfect day of food, learning, and fun. Afterward, you'll have time to explore the picturesque town of Akaroa and enjoy some shopping.
