Enjoy the colorful sights and sounds of Wakayama. For an authentic taste of the city, you'll visit Kuroshio Market -- a popular spot for fresh fish -- and Wakayama Castle, one of the most important castles in western Japan.
Shop and sightsee for a half day in the historic castle town of Wakayama. Begin your journey with a visit to Kuroshio Market. This bustling hub is famous for its fresh seafood. Sample a variety of local dishes or purchase local seafood to take with you (at your own expense).
Take in the beautiful natural scenery and learn about the city's deep-rooted traditions as you uncover the rich history and culture of Wakayama. Iconic Wakayama Castle has stood since the 16th century and played a key role in Japan's feudal history. Known as "the White Castle" due to its striking white walls, Wakayama offers panoramic views from its tower -- a stunning high-level perspective of the surrounding area. Wander about the castle grounds before returning to the ship.
