Learn about Zen Buddhism at Rinsoin Temple, a place of serene beauty and spiritual significance. It offers visitors (and the faithful) a tranquil environment, beautiful gardens, traditional architecture, and genuine peace -- an ideal spot for a meditation and reflection session with an expert tutor.
At Gyokuro no Sato Tea House, experience a relatively casual tea ceremony with all the expected charm while taking in the beautiful natural scenery.
Please note:
Wear comfortable walking shoes. You will sit on the floor (mandatory) for the Zen meditation experience. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations. Tour sequence may vary. Bring local currency, as some vendors do not accept credit cards or US dollars. Traffic can be unpredictable; your patience is greatly appreciated if a delay extends the tour duration. You must remove your shoes at one or more location(s). Tour requires walking 500+ yards (10 minutes) from the parking to the tea house at Gyokuro no Sato. In the event that the head priest of Rinsoin Temple becomes unavailable, the visit may be rescheduled to another temple.
