Day 2 (B/L/D) Siem Reap
After breakfast at the hotel, You'll drive to Banteay Srei to visit the Citadel of Women. This petite temple possesses some of the most intricate carvings in the Angkor area. Although it is small, the details and quality of its architecture make it a must-see attraction.
Next drive to visit the magnificent temple at Angkor Wat -- a unique and stunning blend of spirituality and symmetry and an enduring example of human devotion to religion. It is the largest and undoubtedly the most breathtaking of the monuments of Angkor, and it is reputedly the largest religious structure in the world.
Lunch is served at the Tara Angkor Hotel (or similar), including soft drinks, local beer or mineral water.
Continue to the Angkor Thom complex to see the Terrace of Elephants, the Leper King and the Bayon. Explore the Bayon Temple, whose giant stone faces have become one of the most recognizable images connected to classic Khmer art and architecture. Ta Prohm Temple, famous for its forest atmosphere and enormous fig trees, looks just as it did when the first European explorers arrived. It is also the location of many scenes filmed for the blockbuster movie Tomb Raider.
Drive back to the hotel and freshen up before a poolside dinner with a show.
