Visit a Utopia farm to observe how they grow fruits and plant flowers. You are able to walk through parts of the green houses and enjoy the many types of flowers and fruit trees. You will also be able to taste soft-serve ice cream made with fruit.
Then move to a local venue to experience a live performance. The performance includes an explanation of the history and construction of Kuicha, as well as the songs to be performed.
The Kuicha of Miyako is a group dance that has been passed on down the generations in various areas of the Miyako Islands.
The people lively dance the Kuicha in the various communities for harvest festivals, rituals in prayer for rain, as well as for entertainment and fun throughout the year. The accompanying songs are diverse in detail, singing in prayer for fertility or rain, love songs, joys in life and work as well as about hardships. The Kuicha dance of Miyako is deeply connected to the lives and beliefs of the people here as it gets inherited by the younger generations.
Finally, visit Island Station Miyako as a souvenir stop before returning to the pier.
