This 50-minute panoramic drive through Kodiak acquaints you with the town and leaves you time to explore on your own afterward if you wish.
Your travels will take you down Cannery Row, past the small boat harbor, and through the heart of old downtown Kodiak. Watch for the Baranof and Alutiiq Museums, and the Russian Orthodox Church and Seminary. As you head out of town past Mission Beach, take in the view of Woody Island; then, you'll stop at Mill Bay Beach for photos and to stretch your legs.
Follow one of the oldest roads on Kodiak back towards town, where the diversity of Kodiak's commercial center is evident. Watch for the high-water mark from the 1964 tsunami as you pass through the center of town.
From a scenic overlook, spot the World War II pillbox bunker and take photos of your ship with the city in the background.
